1. Overview
All manuscripts submitted to Global Scholars Publishers undergo a structured, double-blind peer-review process unless otherwise specified by the journal. This means that both the authors and the reviewers remain anonymous to each other throughout the review process.
2. Review Process Steps
Step 1: Initial Editorial Assessment
Upon submission, the manuscript is screened by the journal’s editorial office for:
Adherence to journal scope and guidelines
Plagiarism check (using plagScan or Turnitin)
Overall quality, structure, and language
If the manuscript passes this stage, it is assigned to a section editor or editor-in-chief for further handling.
Step 2: Reviewer Assignment
The handling editor selects at least two independent expert reviewers based on subject expertise, publication history, and conflict of interest policies.
Step 3: Peer Review
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript for:
Scientific rigor and originality
Clarity of objectives and methods
The soundness of data and analysis
Appropriateness of conclusions
Relevance of references and contribution to the field
Each reviewer submits a detailed report with one of the following recommendations:
Accept without revisions
Accept with minor revisions
Accept with major revisions
Reject
Step 4: Editorial Decision
Based on the reviewers' comments and recommendations, the editor makes one of the following decisions:
Accept: The manuscript is accepted for publication.
Minor Revisions: Authors are asked to make minor changes and resubmit.
Major Revisions: Substantial changes are required. The revised manuscript may undergo a second round of review.
Reject: The manuscript is not suitable for publication in its current form.
Step 5: Author Revisions
Authors are expected to address all reviewer comments point by point and submit a revised manuscript along with a response letter detailing the changes made.
Step 6: Final Evaluation
The editor verifies that all comments have been adequately addressed. In some cases, the revised manuscript may be sent back to reviewers for confirmation.
Step 7: Acceptance and Production
Once accepted, the manuscript moves into production:
Copyediting and formatting
DOI assignment
Online publication and indexing
